Hi B-Rad!

I’m an old-fan of your mod-fw.

I know that there’s no space for further mod .. but..
a little improve..

As you know, there’s many app’s to modify wdtv layout.
But we need more app’s.

I’d like only a little mod for 0.5.8.1: the possibility (embeded) to load a “background.jpg” image as a background for each folder.

What do you think ?

Sup there,

I have an issue.. I installed the WDLXTV and everything went fine..

But when i boot the wdtv up it would display the WDTV Logo (original) then the screen would go blank. after a couple of minutes, WDLXTV would finally load.

I’ve also noticed that it sometimes wouldn’t detect my hard drive even if it’s plugged in before boot or after boot..

Are these normal?
if not, What are the fixes?

Hi there,
In first place, thanks for your great work regarding to wdtv product.
In 2nd place, I have a question about the next wdlxtv firmware (it will happend?). There is any support to a client torrent? Now I’m trying rtorrent + wtorrent (yes, thanks for the great tutorial) and having a lot of memory issues (canot allocate memory).
My dream is to put this little box with a client torrent, 24h a day

I’ve updated to 0.5.8.1 and it works fine (also no sluggish remote with teh net-mount delay set). Is there any way to enable access-control for the dropbear sshd (via hosts.allow)?

It seems to work now after I downloaded the latest nfs and ftp files and created the mount point within net.mounts

I updated to WDlxTV 0.5.8.1
I use a USB2lan adapter to connect to Hanewin NFS.
I connect through telnet and issue an xmount command to connect to a shared folder.
the mount point works in the telnet connection.
However I can´t see the folder showing up on my tv through wdtv

Do I perhaps have to use WDlxTV 0.5.7 ? (it all worked there)

Please Please Please make a 2nd gen firmware
i made a huge mistake and installed a firmware update from wd website and since then all my hd movies arent sync (audio and video ) !!!

somebody needs to sew them ….

Okay, in the risk of being criticized for posting in the wrong thread; I did look for somewhere to post suggestions but I couldn’t find an obvious candidate.

1. Would anyone else love to be able to use a bluetooth keyboard instead of the remote? (Especially with YouTube).

2. Also, if anyone could implement the same functionality for use with the site TvGorge.com as already exists with YouTube it would be extremely nice. TvGorge enables the streaming to outside the us of tv shows that are normallyblocked in Europe and all countries except the US.
